Cabo da Roca

Known as the westernmost point of continental Europe, Cabo da Roca is situated at the extreme end of the Sintra Mountains, precipitating over the Atlantic Ocean, and has been described by Luís de Camões as the place "Where the land ends and the sea begins." At 165 meters above sea level, there is a lighthouse built in 1758, 22 meters high, whose light has a range of about 48 kilometers.
